In order to ensure optimal access and usage of this site, the explanations given below shall introduce you to the various service features available. To facilitate orientation we have grouped the information according to major categories:

“Service functions” introduces service features that are offered beyond mere content.
“Page-specific features” offers information on features which are offered depending on the content of the respective page and are therefore not permanently available.
Click on the language selection to switch between the two language versions German and English of each page.
The menu tree on the left side of the screen is the main point of access to the contents of the report. This displays the most important sections of the first level of the tree. Arrows indicate the sections that branch out into further sub-sections. Additional navigation features include:
- Full text searching with search results shown in a new pop-up window
- Links within text passages and HTML tables
- Cross-reference links within the report as well as links to related information outside of the report
Using the full text search, you can search through the reports for individual words and phrases. The text passages found are displayed in a separate pop-up window. When you select a hit, the contents of the corresponding text passage are displayed in another window and the search results window remains open in the background.
>>>Carrying out a standard search
Enter a word or phrase in the entry field. The word or phrase should be in the document or closely related to the information you are looking for. Start the search by hitting the Enter key.
If you do not use any quotation marks, the search engine finds all of the terms that have the same word segment as the search term.
Example: The search for report shows reports and reporting.
>>>Capitals or small letters?
Use small letters if you want to find the search term in either small or capital letters.
Example: The search for shares displays results with shares, Shares and SHARES.
Use a capital letter at the beginning of the word when you want the search engine to make a distinction between words starting with a capital of small letter.
Example:The search for Shares only displays results with Shares.
Put quotation marks (“ ”) around the search term or phrase in order to find the documents which contain exactly this search term or phrase.
Example: The search for “Deutsche Bank share” shows only the documents containing precisely this search phrase.
By using the following logical operators in your search, you can specify the relationship of the search terms. Between the logical operator and the search term, however, there can be no empty space, and the search terms must be separated by a comma.
- The + sign limits the search, which means only documents are found that contain all of the search words.
Example: The search for +euro, +dollar displays only documents containing both words.
>>>Tip: The more words you place in connection with the + sign, the fewer documents you will find.
Example: The search for +euro, +dollar, +yen will display only those documents containing all of these words.
- The - sign excludes information you do not want.
Example: In order to find documents containing the word euro but not the word dollar, enter +euro, -dollar.
>>>Searches using wildcards
A wildcard replaces one or several alphanumeric characters in a search term. The two most common wildcards are:
- The question mark (“?”), which takes the place of exactly one alphanumeric character in a search term.
Example: The search for the phrase “Report 200?” displays documents containing the phrases “Report 2002”, “Report 2003” and “Report 2004”.
- The asterisk (“*”), which takes the place of several or no alphanumeric characters in a search word.
Example: The search for the term “invest*” displays documents containing words such as “investing”, “investment” or “investor”.
>>>Tip: If possible, please avoid using the asterisk at the beginning of the search term.
The documents listed in the search results are sorted according to how precisely they correspond to the search inquiry. The list of hits are displayed on pages. In order to view additional hits, please click on the page number or on the “Next” link. To view a document, click on the title or the document's URL.
